Bobby R. Perkins

Bobby R. Perkins, 80, passed away on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 in Lawton, OK after a brief illness. Bob was born on September 20, 1933 in Washington, Oklahoma to Monroe and Velma (Cross) Perkins. He grew up around Cress, OK before quitting school early to go to work in the fields to help his family. He also worked around Apache where he met the love of his life, Donita Love. They were married on January 28, 1954 in Apache, OK. Together they moved across the United States and finally made their home in Anadarko in 1973. Bob and Donita were married for 59 years when Donita passed away on August 22, 2013. Bob worked for many over the years including; Hollytex, Temple Inland, Golden Peanut and in the oilfield. Bob was a longtime member of the Square Top Baptist Church. He is survived by: 1 son: Randy Perkins and his wife, Debbie, of Lockwood, Missouri 3 daughters: Cindy Merritt and her husband, Ronnie, of Anadarko, Oklahoma Debbie Matlock and her husband, Johnny, of Anadarko, Oklahoma Becky Perkins of Anadarko, Oklahoma Brothers; Hank Perkins and his wife, Cheryl, of Alvaredo, TX George Murphy and his wife, Pam, of Neenah, WI Horace Neil Murphy of Florida Grandchildren: Christie Massey and her husband, Matthew, of Verden, OK, Jennifer Merritt of Anadarko, OK, Rechelle Walters and her husband, Tyler, of Carnegie, OK, Anita Ford, Anadarko, OK, Cori Jo Perkins of Sprinfield, MO, Kiley Perkins and companion, Katee, of Springfield, MO., Tessa Venegas and her husband, Alex, of Springfield, MO 11 Great-Grandchildren: Harlie Glidewell, Taln Glidewell, Ashlee Butler Merritt, Trey Merritt, Ben Merritt, Jake Merritt, Bristol Walters, Megan Matlock, Johnathan Ford, Jodici Ford, Madison Coureton, Axel VanEngers and Braxton Erpelding Brother-in-law: Leroy Love and his wife, Linda, of Anadarko, OK His two very special companions, Cricket and Little Dog.
