Christopher Kyle Skaggs

Christopher Kyle Skaggs, age 40, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, passed away on May 14, 2026. He was born April 2, 1986, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Kenneth and Janet Skaggs. Kyle was raised in Fort Cobb and spent the majority of his life there. He graduated from Fort Cobb High School with the Class of 2005 and was a member of Fort Cobb First Baptist Church. Kyle worked as a lineman for Western Farmers in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He was also a rancher who raised Black Angus cattle and had a deep love for farming and the outdoors. Kyle loved racing and shared that passion with his dad, Kenneth. Together they built and worked on race cars, and Kyle loved being behind the wheel. Hunting was another special part of his life. Whether it was wild pigs, deer, turkey, ducks, or guided bird hunting trips, he enjoyed every moment spent outdoors with family and friends. Hunting and fishing with his dad were some of the things he treasured most. Kyle was the kind of person who could do just about anything. Once he figured something out, he never forgot it. He was talented with mechanics, side-by-sides, and anything he put his hands to. He also loved cooking, whether grilling outside or preparing meals in the kitchen. He and his mother Janet shared countless long phone conversations and a close bond that meant the world to both of them. Kyle and his son Bentley loved taking trips to Colorado, riding side-by-sides through the mountains, and admiring the beautiful scenery. He enjoyed life to the fullest, loved listening to his music loud, and loved spending time with those closest to him. Above all else, Kyle dearly loved his son, Bentley, whom he lovingly called “B.” Bentley was the center of his world, and Kyle’s love for him was unconditional. Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Janet Skaggs of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; grandfather Grover Skaggs and wife Jan of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; son Bentley Brooke Skaggs of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; sister Whitley Young and husband Dakota of Weatherford, Oklahoma; sister Jill Skaggs; nieces Paisyn Young and Dynvir Young; nephew Dallas Young, all of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Bentley’s mother Amy Clift and husband Tanner of Anadarko, Oklahoma; along with numerous relatives and friends. Kyle was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Joann Skaggs, and his maternal grandmother, Iva Green.
