Curtis Lynn Henderson

Curtis Lynn Henderson was born February 13, 1942 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Chester Lynn and Cordia Mae (Harris) Henderson. He was called home by the Lord on Friday, September 24, 2021 with his family by his side. Curt was 79 years young. Curt attended Fort Cobb School and graduated with the class of 1960. On May 1971 he married the love of his life, Bonnie Faye Miely in Wichita Falls, Texas. Together they made their home in Fort Cobb and raised two children, Tony and Crystal. Curt was a loving, caring and dependable man in the community as well as in his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and did so with the sweetest smile. He was a hard worker and provided for his family. When the grandkids came along, his world was forever changed. He followed them to every school event they had. His most favorite being stock shows and ballgames. He supported them in everything they did and was extremely proud of each one. The great grandkids was just the icing on the cake. He loved and adored them all. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the coffee shop to visit.Curt was an active member in the 1st Baptist Church in his younger years. He was also active in many organizations in caddo county and served on several boards. He worked as the local precinct judge for elections for over 40 years. Curt has left a great legacy and will be deeply missed by all.Left to cherish his memory is his children: Tony Henderson and fiance', Joannie of Manvel, Texas, Crystal Clary and husband, Kevin of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Tyler Walters of Carnegie, Kassidy Walters and special friend, Trey Abbott of Fort Cobb, Dalton Stout and Samantha Stout of Manvel, Texas; great grandchildren, Bristol Walters of Carnegie and Braxton Taylor of Manvel, Texas; sister, Margie Goodman of Fairland, Oklahoma along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Curt is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bonnie and 5 brothers: Vernon, Harold, Ralph, Nig and Bart Henderson.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 27, 2021at the 1st baptist Church in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. Rev. Charlie Blount will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Cobb.
