Services for Donald L. ?Stubby? Jarvis, 55, of Anadarko will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24 at the Square Top Baptist Church, northwest of Anadarko with the Rev. Justin Doughty and Thomas Worschester officiating. Viewing for family and friends will begin at 5 o?clock this evening at the church until all services are complete. A meal will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday. Stubby was born April 9, 1960 in Lawton to Don and Laura (Butler) Jarvis and passed from this life on Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 at his home southeast of Anadarko. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Louise Butler, Joe Jarvis and Lavada Williams. Stubby attended Anadarko Public Schools where he was an avid, enthusiastic athlete, participating in football, track, wrestling and golf. He graduated with the Anadarko High School Class of 1978. He also participated in rodeos, riding both bulls and bareback broncs. He made his living in the construction industry, specializing in custom tile and masonry work. Stubby was also an outdoorsman, carrying on the traditions and ways of the Butler family and also those of his father, Don Sr. His hunting career started at age five, going to Eastern Oklahoma to deer hunt with his father and John Garland. He loved his family, his mother-in-law Pat Whitebead and father-in-law Joe Roulain, as well as all of their extended families dearly. He was grateful and spoke in reverence of Ed Wermy for involving and teaching him the ways of the Native American Church. Survivors include his parents; his partner, Tonya Roulain; his sons, Cheyenne and Kinion Jarvis, and Kevin ?KC? Clayton; his daughters, Alicia Clayton, Natasha Scott and Jessica Clayton; his grandchildren, Jacoby Jarvis, Senee Clayton, Keely, Trenton, Anthony and Attikus Mahseet, Devon Clayton, and Amar? Perry; his sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Danny Jones; his nephew, Brett Freeman and his wife, Summer; his nieces, Lacey Oosahwee and Marlee Freeman; his great-nieces, Dwalyn Oosahwee, and Audriana and Lorelie Espinoza, and great-nephews, Landon Jones, Taetyn Oosahwee, and Matthew and Tyler Dallis. He is also survived by his aunts, Sallie Sumner and her husband Ernest, Marie Nestell, Linda Hoelscher, Karen Hignite and her husband Kenneth, Connie Carey and her husband Bob, Debbie Willits and her husband Wally, and DeLita Butler; his uncles, George ?Sonny? Butler, Bobby Butler, Dale Butler and his wife Jean, Doug Butler and his wife Diane, and Terry Butler and his wife Carol, as well as by numerous loyal friends. Burial will be in the Fort Cobb Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Anadarko. Pallbearers will be Billy Brown, Forrest Brock, Cleve Bell, Jay Upchurch, Larry Burkhart and Chase Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be Galen Holder, Kevin Nestell, David Roberson, Bobby Parsons and John ?Hoot? Garland.
