Donita Mae Perkins

Donita Mae Perkins, 77 of Anadarko, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, August 22, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Donita was born July 9, 1936 in Apache, Oklahoma to Charlie & Lillie (Lindsey) Love. She grew up in and attended the Apache School. On January 28, 1954, she married Bobby Perkins in Apache. To this union was born 3 girls and 1 boy. Mrs. Perkins worked at the Anadarko Hospital in the Dietary Department for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker, loved making afghans for everyone and crocheting anything that she could. She enjoyed going to Wal Mart and to yard sales. Donita loved watching anything OU and the Thunder basketball team. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Many beautiful memories were made and are left for her family and friends to cherish. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Perkins of the home; 3 daughters: Cindy Merritt & husband, Ronnie Sr., Debbie Matlock & husband Johnny and Becky Perkins all of Anadarko;1 son, Randy Perkins & wife, Debbie of Lockwood, Missouri; 8 grandchildren: Anita Ford of Carnegie,Christie Massey & husband Matthew of Verden, Cori Jo Perkins of Greenfield, Missouri, Rechelle Walters & husband, Tyler of Carnegie, Kiley Perkins & Tessa Venegas & husband, Alex all of Springfield, Missouri,Megan Matlock of Anadarko and Jennifer Merritt of Anadarko; 10 great grandchildren: Ashlee Butler Merritt, Ronald Merritt III, Benjamin Merritt, Jake Merritt, Harlie Glidewell, Taln Glidewell, Madi Perkins, Braxton Erpelding, Jodeci Ford and Johnathan Ford; 1 brother, Leroy Love & wife, Linda of Anadarko; 1 brother-in-law, Hank Perkins & wife, Cheryl of Texas; 2 special kids at home, Cricket and Little Dog; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Donita is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Lillie Love; brother, Virgil Love; sister, Betty McCunn and grandson, Ronnie Merritt Jr. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Square Top Baptist Church, east of Anadarko with Rev. Bryan Doughty, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Apache, Oklahoma under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
