Gary Michael Tags,15 of Verden, Oklahoma was called home by the Lord on Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Fort Cobb. He was born October 18, 1996 to Robert Anderson and Carrie Renay (Tags) in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He attended Anadarko Public School until two years ago when he moved with his grandparents to Verden, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Freshman Class at Verden High School. He was on the baseball team in eighth grade but decided to take Ag his freshman year and was looking forward to working in the school shop. He was always tinkering with motors. He could take one apart and could put it back together. Gary was a active member of the youth group at First Baptist Church in Verden and had made a profession of his faith in Christ. He loved Brother Troy and Roy and Terrie Boyer who are actively involved with the youth group at church. The youth group has a special bond between them. He enjoyed fishing if he got a bite within five minutes, he just couldn't get the fish to bite on his line. His favorite football team was OU. He loved his grandparents very much. He had some special uncles and aunts whom he totally adored. He touched many lives while here on this earth but now he is in his Heavenly Home with Jesus. He wouldn't come back where he is now. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his grandparents, who raised him, Gary and Marie Tags of Verden, OK his mother, Carrie Pledger and husband, Leslie Crownover of Verden,OK one sister, Amy Pledger of Oney, OK, four special uncles, Gary "Buddy" Tags of Verden, OK, Toby Tags and wife, Dawn of Anadarko, OK, William Tags of Sulpulpa, OK, Chad Bilyeu of Anadarko, OK and one aunt, Alicia Tags of Anadarko, OK, numerous other aunts, uncles,, cousins and other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Tags, his great grandparents, Mildred and Claude Mailey, a great aunt aunt, Stella Angel. A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 6, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Verden, OK , Bro. Troy officiating, Burial will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, OK under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
