Glenn Leroy Haas

Glenn Leroy Haas, 81, of Fort Cobb, OK passed away on Tuesday Oct 4th 2022. He was born on a farm northwest of Fort Cobb in 1941. He passed away as a result from chronic medical conditions. Glenn graduated from Fort Cobb High School in 1959. He went on to become a farmer and mechanic (liked to be known as a "Gearhead") only a mile or so from where he was born. He loved to work with his hands and spend time with his family. His core life passion was his relationship with God and the support of the First Baptist Church of Fort Cobb. He read through the Bible many times, always sharing new stories that he learned each time a new pass was completed.Glenn unconditionally loved his spouse Louise of 61 years. Throughout the many life stories that defined their wonderful partnership; she was and will always be his "Grams". He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in February 1952. He helped raise two wonderful children and helped them in pursuing college degrees. He was always involved in their lives throughout their childhood, and was always available for sports activities, piano recitals, pig shows, choir performances, fishing outings, etc. He was always there for his family through all ups and downs as he taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer. Hardworking and tenacious were some of Glenn's external traits, but gentleness and peacefulness were at his core. He was the rock for all those lucky enough be included in his closest circle. Just as he dealt with all experiences in life, Glenn managed his illness with strength and grace, and deeply loved to spend as much time as possible with his wonderful family. During his final time on this earth, he was surrounded by many family members who deeply adored him and that he adored more than anything else in the world. Glenn was preceded in death by his Father, Everett Curtis Haas and Mother, Carrie Faye Haas of Fort Cobb. Glenn is survived by his wife Louise of 61 years, daughter Rita Sebastian and her husband Mike, son Bryan Haas, his "Great" granddaughters Miranda Lopez and her husband Abe, Emily Huddleston and her husband Troy, Mikayla Lierle and her husband Bryson, his "Great" grandsons Brennan Sebastian and his wife Whitney, and Will Haas, his "Fabulous" great granddaughters Claire Clift and Henley Sebastian, and "Fabulous" great grandson Lucas Lopez and Kaleb Lopez. He also had a deep love and appreciation for nieces, nephews and other extended family. Glenn was a friend to everyone he met. Glenn loved working with the youth of the church and would want any donations to support this summer camp experience for church youth.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb. Rev Lynn Bellamy, Rev. Colin Stallcup and Rev. Charlie Blount will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Cobb. Services are under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.Visitation will be Thursday, October 6, from 1:00 to 8:00 and Friday, October 7, 9:00-8:00.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.smithfuneralservices.com
