Laverna Mae Clary

LaVerna Mae Clary, age 80, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. LaVerna was born on June 14, 1945, to Stewart and Pearl Walsh. She spent her life rooted in Oklahoma, where she built a home centered on family, creativity, and quiet strength. She worked for many years as a manager at Tractor Supply Company, where she was known for her dedication, reliability, and the friendships she formed along the way. LaVerna had a deep love for quilting and jewelry making, creating countless handmade pieces that her family will cherish forever. She expressed her love through the things she made and the time she gave, leaving behind tangible reminders of her care and creativity. She is survived by her children: Barbara Barber, Regina Smith, David Clary, and Kevin Clary and wife Crystal. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kristen Crow and companion Cordell Rogers, Kami Crow and companion Trapper Lovelace, Kelby Clary, Staci Clary, Kassidy Walters and companion Weston Kerlick, Tyler Walters, and Briana Johnson and husband Adam. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Brayden Gray, Kaleb Gray, Melissa Littleton, Kayden Clary, Bristol Walters, Clara Kerlick, Gunner Lovelace, Wyatt Lovelace, Kendall Lovelace, Zane Johnson, Ava Johnson, and Lilly Johnson. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Gene Posey, and many extended family members and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stewart and Pearl Walsh; her husband, Arnold Clary; her siblings, Grady and wife Mary, Christine, Norma, and Doyle; her grandchildren, Misty McBee and Jerami Clary; and her companion, Carl Witt. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Glenhaven Retirement Village and Refuge Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and dignity they provided to LaVerna in her final days. In accordance with her wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Her family will honor her life privately and carry forward the memories, lessons, and love she shared with them. LaVerna will be remembered for her strength, her creativity, and the deep love she held for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
