ORRELL CLEMENT BERGDORF OBITUARY Orrell Clement Bergdorf, 96, a longtime resident of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013. Orrell was born on February 26, 1916, Southwest of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Alfred and Hattie Bergdorf, and continue to live there until going to Sterling House Assisted Living Home in Weatherford, Ok in 2006. He attended South Pioneer School and later graduated from Fort Cobb High School in 1933. He farmed and went to work for Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS Office) where he measured land and verified crop acreage. Additionally, he worked for the U.S. Federal Census Department, and he helped to construct grain elevators around the Apache and Carnegie areas, and numerous other jobs. During this period he maintained farming and cattle operations for himself, and his mother. He was a sincere advocate for preserving the land for future generations. On October 18, 1941, he married Juanita Bartosovsky and they made their home southwest of Fort Cobb. They celebrated 69 years of marriage before her death in March of 2011. Both were members of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Cobb. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit and helping hand. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones. Our hearts are sad, but we are thankful for the years God has allowed us his presence in our lives. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife; Juanita, one great grandson; Connor Gage, his parents; Alfred and Hattie Bergdorf, and two sisters; Theola Patterson and Leota Davis. He is survived by one son; Harvey Bergdorf and his wife, Kila, of Claremore, OK., one daughter, Barbara Baxter and her husband, Stanley, of Weatherford, OK. Six grandsons; Carter Bergdorf and Nancy Self of Rogers, AR., Jason and Shane Bergdorf of Claremore, OK, Brett Gage and his wife Dana of North Richland Hills, TX., Robbie Gage and his wife Brooke of Tulsa, OK., Andy Gage and his wife Lauren of Denver, CO. Two step grandchildren; Deidre Scott and her husband Kory of Arapaho OK, and Bryan Baxter of Clinton, OK. Four great-grandsons; Riley Gage, Grant Gage, Bowen Gage, Dylan Bergdorf and one great-great grandson; Joe Curtis Vera III. Four great-grand daughters; Tajia Bergdorf, Cydney Bergdorf, Katie Gage & Annalea Gage. Two great-grand step daughters; Tayler Randol & Tatum Self. Five great-grand step sons; Kyler Cummings, Kyle & Kamden Scott, Trevor & Tristan Self, and a host of other relatives & friends. Services to celebrate Orrell?s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Fort Cobb, OK. At 2:00 P.M. Friday February 1, 2013 with the Rev. Nathan Mills and Rev. Lynn Brack officiating. Interment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Cobb. Services are under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. ****Memorial Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Fort Cobb, OK
