Patricia Kodaseet Burgess

Patricia "Patty" Kodaseet Burgess, 69, joined her ancestors on Monday, February 5, 2018. Patty was born December 29, 1948 at the Lawton Indian Hospital to Frank and Lillie "Nina" Kodaseet. The youngest of eight children. She passed away at St. Anthony Hospital surrounded by her family. Patty attended schools in Anadarko and after graduation she attended Warner State College in Warner, Oklahoma. She met and married Rudolph Harrison and they made their home in Moore, Oklahoma. Patty has always been a caring person and she began working in a nursing home in Moore to help support their family. Caring for the sick and elderly was her life's calling and she made this her man career throughout the years. If she was not working for a nursing home she worked a a private duty nurse helping many patients in the Anadarko area.Following the death of her first husband she raised her children as a single mother for many years until she married Charles Burgess. They were united in marriage but sadly Charles also passed away.She is survived by her children; Eldon "Qweets" Beard and wife, Deede of Luther, Oklahoma, Elizabeth "Libby" Kaulaity of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Lillie Harrison of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; Sabastian Thompson, Rudee Beard, Alissa Kaulaity, Kourtni Mann, Hailey Kaulaity, Killian (Myles) Kaulaity, Brayvan Delgado, Kylie DeVaughan, Ezekiel DeVaughan, Gracie DeVaughan, Nathaniel Flute, and Patricia Haag; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Gary Kodaseet and his wife, Frances of Anadarko; sisters: Charlene Bolinsky of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, Mary Carter of Mustang, Oklahoma and Marilyn Bread of Elgin, Oklahoma.Patty is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Catherine and brothers, Gilbert "Gibby" Kodaseet and Edward Harrison Kodaseet; her husband, Rudolph Roland Harrison, 2 grandchildren: Chauncy Beard and Natalie Flute and a great grandchild, Eliaz KaulaityWake services will be at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Grace Fellowship Church and funeral services will be on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace Christian Church. Rev. Ted Mercer will be presiding. Burial will be at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko.
