Patricia Joan Myers

Patricia Joan (Cotten) Myers, was born on March 27, 1933, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Cecil Clinton Cotten and Juanita Deleah (Ward) Cotten. She was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 12, 2024, at the age of 90. Patricia worked at Hermetic Switch for 20 years, and Williams shoe store for two years. She taught ages eight through adults in Sunday school for 63 years. She was a beloved farm wife, Sunday school teacher, mother, and grandmother. Patricia enjoyed being creative in many things including crafting, ceramics, and painting, as well as gardening and canning. She was quite a hands-on gal. Patricia was a part of a quilting club, and a member of Laverty Church. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Patricia married the love of her life Cecil "Red" Myers on March 15, 1952, after which they were blessed with three beautiful children, Jan, David, and Michael. Left to cherish Patricia's memory are her children, Jan Woodward, and husband, Alan of Carnegie, Oklahoma, David Myers, and wife Judy of Anadarko, Oklahoma, and Michael Myers of Anadarko Oklahoma, her grandkids, Andrea McPherson and husband, Andy, of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Melinda Myers and significant other, Josh Smith, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Brandon Woodward and wife, Donna, of Eakly, Oklahoma, Eric Myers and significant other Amanda, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Misty Myers and fiancé, James, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Josh Myers and wife, Brandi, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Jason Myers and wife, Julie, of Velma, Oklahoma, and Jesse Myers and wife, Ruthie, of Cyril, Oklahoma, great-grandkids, Brayden, Bryce, Dane, Tyler, Karson, Gabby, Bella, Addi, McKinley, Hayden, and Porter, one great-great-grandson, and a special nephew, Perry and wife Shirley. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, husband, mother and father-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, three brothers, and one sister. A funeral service for Patricia is set to begin at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Anadarko. She will be laid to rest following the service at the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko.
