Pauline Lewis

Pauline "Nanny" Lewis, 76 of Anadarko, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2011 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Pauline was born January 1, 1935 in Anadarko to Ernest S. & Edith (Wall) Pierson. She married William Jackson Lewis on December 24, 1953 in Anadarko. She was a homemaker and had worked at Grady Memorial Hospital as an LPN. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed looking for and trying out new recipes. She made everyone feel at ease and had a special gift of making conversation with everyone. Pauline's greatest joy was watching her kids and grandkids participate in sports and traveled to watch them every chance she could. Pauline was a wonderful wife, nanny and friend who had a heart of gold. She was a long time member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Pauline will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pauline is survived by her husband, William Jackson Lewis of the home in Anadarko; two sons: Don William Lewis and Dale John Lewis & wife, Angie all of Anadarko; daughter, Deborah Ann Dabbs & husband, Richard of Sulpher, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren: Christopher Don Lewis & wife, Whitney; Mari Dawn Lewis & husband, Jared Hall; Jeremy Don William Lewis; Dillon Don Jackson Lewis; Amy Rachelle Dabbs Bryan & husband, William Jennings Bryan III; Eric Richard Dabbs & wife, Tiffani; Levi Dale Lewis; Bryan Grady Lewis & Luke Aaron Lewis; 5 great grandchildren: Ashlynn, Ayden & Ainsley Lewis; Bella & Brody Dabbs; brother, Ernest & wife, Nancy Pierson of Alma, Arkansas; 3 sisters: Imogene Sain of Cyril, Beverly Riley & husband, Jerry of Cement & Louise Simmons & husband, Mack of Cement; sister-in-law, Ruth Whitley & husband, Edward; numerous other relatives and many loving friends. Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; 6 Siblings: Juanita Beets, Andrew Pierson, Bernard Pierson, Kenneth Pierson, Naomi Newcomb & Yuton Allison Funeral services: 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Church of the Nazarene in Anadarko with Bro. Ed Whitley officiating. Burial to follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
