Ruby Marie Caroline Ferguson

Ruby Marie Caroline Galindo Ferguson, 86 of Anadarko, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Sunday, September 12, 2010 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was born May 7, 1924 to J. B. and Mary (Wallace) Manuel in Stonewall, Oklahoma. Ruby was united in marriage to Tony Galindo in December 1945 and from this union was born two children. He preceded her in death in May of 1955. She went to Cosmetology School and received her diploma and became a beautician. She married Bill Ferguson in 1958, he preceded her in death in the 1980's. She owned and operated Ruby's Beauty Shop for over fifty years. She also fixed many heads of hair at Silver Crest Nursing Home. Ruby had a way of making all the ladies feel so very special by making them beautiful. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed cooking. Her specialty was Mexican food. Her greatest love was for her family. She especially loved all the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She served on the Anadarko City Council a number of years. She had made profession of her faith in Christ and was ready to enter her heavenly home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by: one daughter: Mary Holkan and husband Don of Alvin, TX one daughter in law: Bettie Galindo of Anadarko, Ok one brother: Floyd Manuel and wife, Ruth of Chickasha, OK six sisters: Lovie Tannehill of Ninnekah, OK Betty Smith and husband, Kenneth of Weatherford, OK Dovie Clouse and Loretta Scott and husband, Paul of OK City, OK Walcie Scott and husband, Jack of Chickasha, OK Judy Boudreaux and husband, Nolan of Guthrie, OK six grandchildren: Debbie Buckingham and husband, Abe of Alberta, Canada Brad Holkan, Deanna McLemore and husband, Jerry, Marnie Hackney and husband Jeff all of Anadarko, OK, Caroline Rains and husband, Craig of Texarkanna, TX and Barry Holkan of Galveston, TX Twelve great grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Tony Galindo and Bill Ferguson, one son, Donnie Joe Galindo, and infant grandson, Mark Holkan, two sisters, Dorothy Thompson and Molly McConnell.
