Ruth Ann Hughes

Ruth Ann Hughes, 75 of Gracemont, Oklahoma was called home by the Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at her home east of Gracemont. She was born April 7, 1935 to Elmer and Pearl (Seel) Hasemeyer in Fort Gage, ILL. She was united in marriage to Albert Lester Hughes on June 4, 1954 in Sparta, ILL, from this union was born ten children. Ruth was a home maker. She enjoyed going to garage sales. She collected cook books, piggy banks, salt and pepper shakers, angels, birds and ice cream freezers. She enjoyed her treasures she could find and enjoyed going to town. Her greatest love was for her grandkids and great grandkids whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed going to Traders, especially when Mary Ann, one of her granddaughter's would sing while they enjoyed the wonderful meals. Ruth loved going to Church and going to all the gospel singing's. She was a active member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, until her health began to fail her. Ruth enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by: three sons: Donald Hughes and Arthur Hughes both of Union, MO Edward Hughes and companion, Dee Dee Baker of Faxon, OK five daughters: Cindy Owens and husband, Charlie of Union, MO Ramona Fuchs and husband, Stanley of Gracemont, OK Melody Rice of Chesterfield, Mich Vivian Adkinson of Edgewood, NM Betty McGrath and husband, James of Gracemont, OK sixteen grandchildren, Ross, Tracy, Randy, Betty, Samantha, Brenda, Mary Ann, Robert Earl, Jennifer, Tammy, J. T., Becky, Jake, Jimmy, Kayshe and Shannon twenty one great grandchildren four sisters: Betty Congleton, Wanda Frazier, Sandy McBride, Carol Richards numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Hasemeyer, her father, Elmer Hasemeyer, one son, Henry Louis Hughes, one daughter, Teresa Baker, one brother, Gary Hasemeyer,, three bro's in law, Monty Richards, Wayne McBride and Harry Frazier, two son's in law, Mike Adkinson and Bill Baker Services: 11:00 A. M., Thursday, February 3, 2011 Spring Creek Baptist Church Officiating: Rev. Rodger Willis Burial will follow in the Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Binger Funeral Home.
