Obituary for Cleo Cheadle

Cleo Cheadle-The Family Man was born March 30, 1934 in Wapanucka, Ok. to Carlis and Irene Perry-Cheadle and passed away on September 29, 2019 in OKC at the age of 85. He grew up in the Tishomingo, Ok. area before moving to the Ft. Cobb, Ok. area at a young age. Cleo married Naomi Nuckols on October 23, 1954 and during this 58 year union raised 6 children.
After the death of his Mother Irene at an early age Cleo was raised by his Aunt who affectionately became known as Mama, Espenella Perry-Odum.
Cleo worked farm labor for many farmers in the Ft. Cobb, Carnegie and Alfalfa areas until his retirement. Cleo served our country with the United States Army and was Honorably discharged on September 14, 1957.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, daughter and son in law Elizabeth and Larry Pierce, grandson Triston Pope, his parents, his Mama, brother Travis Odum, sisters Rosie Gibbs, Ella Mae Cato and many family and friends because he never met a stranger.
He loved his family and friends with his whole heart and that's where you could hear his wonderful laugh.

Cleo is survived by his children Jacki Pope (Euell), Jerome Cheadle (Pamala) of OKC, Eileen Cheadle of Carnegie, Jan. Ware (Phillip) and Glenda Cheadle all of Okmulgee. Sisters Lorene Williams and Juanita Cheadle of Tulsa, Wanda Norfleet of Sands Springs and Oletta Odum of Pheonix, Az.
Grand children Tiffany Pope, Tya Holliman (Ryan), Krissy Cheadle, Jacy Cheadle, Taria Brown (Tommy), Marvin Ware all of OKC. Anetra Mayes (Martin) and Jaya Crawford (Victor) all of Chickasha. Shae Cheadle and Vanaca Cheadle both of Carnegie, Teanna Ramirez of Chicago, IL., Taveon Cheadle, Robert Cheadle, Beyonka Cheadle, Rayshawn Cheadle, and Bradley Cheadle all of OKC. Great Grand children Stacia Cheadle ( Baylee) of Okmulgee, Jaalan Cheadle of Chickasha, Zavia Holliman of OKC, Aadyn Ramirez, Alijah Ramirez and Loganne Thompson all of Chicago, IL.. Ahnesti Moss, Courtney Brown, LaBron Brown, Rayford Cheadle, De'ajane Cheadle, Amillion Cheadle, Amillia Cheadle, Rayana Cheadle, Ariah Cheadle, Robert Cheadle Jr., Noraja Cheadle, Jaceon Cheadle, Marvin Ware Jr. and great grandson and best friend, Zayne Cheadle along with a host of special family and friends that will forever cherish their memories of this great man.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Carnegie, OK. Burial will follow in the Carnegie Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, OK.
