Obituary for Johnny Turner

Turner, Johnny "John"�Johnny Turner, known to friends as "John," born on October 6, 1949 in McCamey, Texas passed away on February 22nd, 2019, at the age of 69 years.

From Ft. Worth Texas John attended several universities throughout his career in the military and graduated with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Memphis, and worked as a counselor.

In 1972, he began his career with the Air Force as an ammunition systems specialist for 17 years 10 months and an Imagery interpreter specialist for 2 years retiring from the Air force as a Master Sergeant.

John was very proud of his Choctaw Heritage and was an active member in the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He loved traveling, writing, and art. He touched the lives of many people in multiple places around the United States, and he will be missed by many.

He is preceeded in death by his father Boyd E. Turner, mother Annie V. Turner, brother James Doan.

He is survived by his daughter, Celisha Duty of Ft. Worth, Tx., and son, Kendall Turner of Stafford, Tx,. Also his five grandchildren, Christopher, Johnathan, Donovan, Crystal, and Kendra as well as five great grandchildren, Hailey, Emmett, Rylie, Lyric and Ava and his sister Betty LaFerr of Gaylord, MI.
