Obituary for Nina Davis

Nina Christina Davis, 83, of Anadarko, Oklahoma was called home by the Lord on Friday, September 27, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Nina was born May 13, 1936 in Anadarko to Roy Lee and Grace Marie (Curlee) Nix. She was raised in Anadarko and attended school in Anadarko. She met and married Howard Davis in the early 50's. He was serving our country In the United State Army and when he came back from Korea, he and Nina moved to Ft. Riley, Kansas. Later they both moved to Germany. Howard retired from the Army in 1963 and they returned to Anadarko. During 1970 and 1980, they opened and operated several restaurants including: Country Kitchen, Howard's Cafe and Rock Cafe, all in Anadarko. Nina was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anadarko.

Left to cherish her memory is her companion, Hershel Olinger of Anadarko; daughter, Valerie Etzkorn of Edmond; grandson, Michael Etzkorn and wife, Katy of Choctaw, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Everett and Walter Etzkorn along with many friends.

Nina is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; brothers: Joe Nix, Forrest Nix, Jimmy Nix; sisters: Jean Lenius and Vallene Luzzi.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko. Pastor Lynn Bellamy will officiate. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be Monday, September 30 from 9:00 A.M. till 8:00 P.M.
