Obituary for William Lee Gaddis

William "Billy" Gaddis, 73, passed away on Monday, July 1st, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on December 20, 1945 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Lola Bea (Wall) and Jimmie Edward Gaddis. He grew up in Anadarko and graduated from Anadarko High School in 1964. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University for a year before joining the U.S. Navy to serve his country. He served in Viet Nam for two years on the USS Tanner. He later rode and trained horses and farmed with his dad. Billy continued to work for other farmers and cattlemen until his death. He was a carpenter and required perfection with his work, He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by:
His son and daughter-in-law: Josh and Molly Gaddis, Apache, OK
His daughter: Tina Palmer, Purcell, OK
2 Sisters: Kay Jones and her husband Gene of Anadarko, OK
Janie Pruett and her husband Dennis of Bridge Creek, OK
6 Grandchildren: Bradley Palmer, Kyle Palmer, Halee Palmer, Caden Fatheree, Hayden Gaddis and Kinley Gaddis; numerous nieces and nephews.
2 great-grandchildren: Kaelyn Palmer and Tillian Palmer

Numerous other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanet Dyer, Special friend Anna Jo Booker, Special friend Donna Dorsey Bradford and Granddaughter Mykala Nicole Palmer.

A Memorial service will be held Monday July 8, 2019 at the First Baptist Church at 1:00 pm with Lynn Bellamy officiating.



Services under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
