Clarice Cagg

Clarice (Conway) Cagg, was born on February 2, 1947, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Joe Nathan Conway and Mary Elizabeth (Watson) Conway. She was one of thirteen children and was a twin. She joined her heavenly Father on May 16, 2026, at her home in Anadarko, Oklahoma, surrounded by her family. Clarice spent her childhood in Seminole, Oklahoma and has called Anadarko her home for 30+ years. She was a member of the Grace Church in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Clarice was a highly intelligent and educated lady, she was a graduate of the Seminole High School and furthered her education through, Seminole Junior College, East Central University, Kents State, and Oklahoma University; earning her Master’s Degree. She as an inducted member of the Delta Kappa Game Society. Clarice married the love of her life Walter Albert “Al” Cagg on June 3, 1995. The shared 10 years together before his passing on July 10, 2005. Clarice was a dedicated educator for over 20 years at the Riverside Indian School. She was over the prep squad and was often taking students to different sport functions and helping work the concessions stand. Her students meant everything to her and having the ability to be able to pour into them and watch the grow filled her soul. Clarice was known for being a kind, gentle, loving lady, and was cherished by all who was fortunate enough to meet her. She was a caregiver at heart and loved helping people in any way that she could. She gave many years to her parents and siblings caring for them and helping them when needs would arise. She was always looking for the next person to help and when a true need was present, she did not hesitate to give even when she did not have it to give. Clarice loved to travel. She did not have to go far but she loved to just leave town and scope out a good garage sale. Clarice loved a good bargain and that dream unfolded in owning a thrift and antique store with her husband for many years. She was known to her community by the weekly garage sales she would have and always had the “next treasure” to be found. Clarice enjoyed passing time at the local casinos, and she had a beloved pet dog, Odin. Clarice was family orientated and she lived for every moment that she could share with them. She was a loving mother and was always encouraging her children to be the best they could be. While she truly loved her children her heart grew leaps and bounds when her grandchildren came alone. She loved to spoil and pour into those grandchildren every moment she could. There was nothing that would have ever been able to come into between the love she had for her family. She cherished each and every one beyond measure. Her absence will leave a void that can never be replaced, and she will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her children. Harry Boykins II, Shelonna Boykins, Goddaughter, Rikki Lynn Cozad, four siblings, grandchildren, Dominic Elizabeth Edwards and Eli Dominic Edwards Jr, and five great grandchildren. Clarice is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Conway, husband, Al Cagg, and eight siblings. Visitation for Clarice will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
