Emma Gina Autaubo

Emma Gina Autaubo, 83, from Oklahoma City entered into Heaven after a brief and sudden illness on Friday, March 6, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Emma was born on December 13, 1936 in Lawton, OK to Betty Taua Haumpo. She attended and graduated from Riverside Indian School in 1956. She married Frederick Autaubo on November 15, 1961 in Oklahoma City. She was a CHR for the Kiowa Tribe where she became the CHR Director and then became the CHR Director for the Caddo Tribe. Emma was also a certified EMT and taught CPR at various locations in Caddo County. She loved doing bead work and created numerous necklaces and earrings for her loved ones, especially her granddaughters. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and was an avid reader, finishing her last book while in the hospital. Emma loved to cook for her family and everyone loved her fry bread.....and her goulash. She loved watching western's and Law & Order SVU. Emma enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, specifically Jimmy Reed, and was a fan of old time Gospel, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Dwight Yoakum. Emma was a stout believer in Jesus Christ Our Savior and God our Father. She told each one of us that we know where she will be if we want to see her again. She is survived by: Four sons: Wardell, Martin and wife Nicole, Randy and wife Dolores, Everett and wife Libby, all of Oklahoma City. Her daughter Elona Autaubo and companion, Ellery Headrick, of Oklahoma City, OK Grandchildren: Kelli Kaubin and companion Rocky Rivas, Betti Autaubo & companion Mike, Gail Autaubo & companion Felipe, Daniel Autaubo, Aaron Autaubo, Josiah Autaubo, Eslie Autaubo, Eva Autaubo all of OKC, Michael Autaubo, Timothy Autaubo, Lorene Autaubo of OKC, Thomas Autaubo, Chickasha, Martina Delaware, OKC, Bylle Joyce Delaware, Benjamin Delaware of Lawton, Pinkie Starr of OKC, and Frank Pewo, Carnegie, Rebekkah Autaubo of Santa Fe, NM, Shannah Autaubo, Glenda and husband Sam Fixico of NY, and Teola and husband Terrill Yazzie of Many Farms, AZ, and 12 great-great grandchildren, and adopted granddaughter, Kent Tehauno. Special cousins, Gayland & Kim Taua and Lily "Sugar" Taua.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Autaubo; her son Bobby Darrell "Silver" Autaubo; her mother, Betty Taua Haumpo; brother, Everett Dale Bert; sister Glenda Sharon Tsotigh; grandparents, Eva Lily Taua and Allen "Belo" Taua; uncles Arthur Taua and Charles "Buck" Taua; aunts, Mattie Taua Harjo, and Elona Taua Loftin. What a great reunion in Heaven that must be!
