Jesse Allen Gomez Jr.

Jesse Allen "Kong" Gomez Jr., 28, of Anadarko, was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, Setember7, 2011 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born August 3, 1983 to Jesse Allen Gomez Sr. and Jerri (Bunchie) Cooper in Lawton, Oklahoma. He received his nick name, "Kong" from his grandfather. He attended Anadarko Schools. He was a very good pitcher and was active in basketball. He loved going to his dads house to watch the OU games. He looked forward to Sunday because his dad would always cook beans and Kong would make the corn bread. Then they would watch Dallas Cowboys game together. They also loved to spend time fishing for catfish on the Washita River, where they would stay till dark and was the "River King". He liked terrorizing his dad's dog, Ol Boomer. His favorite teams were the New York Yankee's, OU and Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. He had made a profession of his faith in Christ. He was a kind hearted young man. Had was the assistant manager of Taco Beuno in Anadarko before his health began to fail him. Kong will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by, one son, Jesse Allen Gomez III of Anadarko, OK his father, Jessie Allen Gomez Sr and companion, Pam Holder of Anadarko, OK his mother, Jerri (Bunchie) Cooper of Anadarko, OK one brother, Derrick Cooper of Anadarko, OK special brother, Ricky Lee "Milkman" Pocowatchit of Lawton, OK four aunts, Donna Geionety and husband, Ricky of Mt. View, OK Darnell Cooper of Anadarko, OK Marla Cooper and companion, Tubby Redbone of Carnegie, OK Zola Barnes and husband, David of Anadarko, OK four uncles, Ricky Cooper and companion Robin Dailey of Anadarko, OK Jr. Edge and Clyde Turner both of Lawton, OK Jack Toppah of Anadarko, OK two sisters, Samantha Cooper and husband, Edgar Ivan Martinez of OK CIty, OK Nicole Jones of Anadarko, OK maternal grandma, Melvina Cooper of Anadarko, OK special nephew, Aidan Cooper (Polly) of Anadarko, OK numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by, his maternal grandfather, Durell Duke Cooper Jr, paternal grandfather, Sammy Gomez, grandmother, Nancy Kauley and one niece, Alejandra Martinez Prayer service will be 6:00 P. M., Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Smith Chapel officiating, Rev. Milton Otis and Rev Hicks Boyiddle Celebration of Life will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 12, 2011 at Smith Chapel Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Ok under the direction of Smith Funeral Home
