John Wilkins Wolfe

John Wilkins "Buddy" Wolfe, 83 of Anadarko, Oklahoma was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was born April 12, 1928 to John and Amelia (Tackabo) Wolfe in Lawton, Oklahoma. He attended the Anadarko Schools and received his GED while in the Military. He served in the United States Navy for four years. He then joined the United States Army. He served in WWII, in the Korean War and the Viet Nam War he served two terms. He retired after 24 years of active service where he served as Sgt. He was proud to be an American Soldier. He was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. He also appreciated his Native American Heritage. He was Auditor for the Oklahoma Tobacco, Alcohol and fire Arms Division for 15 years. He was united in marriage to Mickie Cowan Jahn on March 4, 1999 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. His greatest love was for his wife, Mickie, their children and grandchildren. He enjoyed every minute spent with his family. He enjoyed doing all kinds of woodwork. He was an avid OU fan. He was a people person who never met a stranger. He had made a profession of his faith in Christ. Buddy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Mickie of the home three sons, Paul Fuller and wife, Diane of Anadarko, OK, Jerry Jahn and wife, Mary of Cyril, OK, Travis Jahn and wife, Keri of Chickasha, OK four daughters, Johnnie Ray Kuehneman and husband, Ken of Woodruff, WI, Randi Clift and husband, Ronnie of Cement, OK, Mindy McAffe and husband, Donnie of Cement, OK and Amilia Wolfe of Phoenix, AZ eight grandchildren and npumerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A very special friend, Virgil Upchurch and wife, Sally of Norman, OK three sisters, Bretamaire Ware of Phoenix, AR, Lois Whiteman and husband, Tom of Midwest City, OK and Anaawake Clark of Anadarko, OK He is preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Lyndsey Birch, two nephews, Perry Ware and David Whiteman. Prayer service: 7:00 P. M., Friday, September 23, 2011 at Smith Chapel officiating: Rev. Sam Horse Graveside Military Rites by Fort Sill, will be at:10;00 a. m., Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Memory Lane Cemetery services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, OK
