Marcenella I. Lacer

Marcenella Irene Jordan, 95, of Anadarko, Oklahoma passed peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Visitation will be at Smith's Funeral Home in Anadarko, OK, Monday - Wednesday, 9:00 am - 8:00 pm. The family will have visitation on Wednesday, January 27th from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. Everyone is welcome. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 1:00pm. Pastor Ted Mercer of Grace Church, officiating. Marcenella "Marcy" Jordan was born in a canvas tent on Blackjack Hill, west of Anadarko, on January 16, 1926. She was born to Lela Jordan on a cold and wintery day. She was premature and so tiny that her Granny placed her in a shoe box, thus beginning her legacy of being a strong woman. She raised 5 boys who she loved unconditionally and her life revolved around her family. She was a successful business woman, owning the Frosty Mug and the Confectionary. Then later in life, she owned Lacer's Indian Store with her husband, Lewis Lacer Jr. Most know her for the many years she worked at Rexall Drug Store which later became Melton's Drug. Marcenella married the love of her life, Lewis Lacer Jr in 1959. They spent every day together until his passing on January 21, 2000, exactly 21 years to the day that she passed. They were well known in the community and loved by everyone they met. She had a special relationship with her cousins, Norma Jean Grizzle, Annie Ruth Weeks, Alta Fox, George Moore and their families all of Georgia. She had many hobbies throughout the years that included making dolls, clothes, beadwork, crocheting blankets to collecting beam and Avon bottles. She attended Grace Church and she shared her love for the Lord with everyone she met. Marcy never met a stranger and loved all of her family, especially her Grandchildren. She taught us to love everyone, love them true and love them equally. She is survived by her sons; Paul and Betty LaFerr, of Gaylord, Michigan; Ronald LaFerr of Elgin, Illinois; Lewis and Beth Lacer III, of Anadarko, OK, and Larry and Frankie Lacer of Reno, Nevada: Special Daughter-In-Law, Rose LaFerr of Anadarko, OK; Daughters Sandy and Ken Morgel of Appleton, Wisconsin and Paula and Ray Broderick of Pioneer, California; Grandchildren; Paula and Keith Millsap of Wayne, OK, Melissa Hall of Gaylord, MI, Mark and Donya LaFerr of Ardmore, OK, Clara and Tracy Prather of Oklahoma City, Ok, David Weeks of Woodward, OK, Stephanie Settle of Norman, OK, Sonny Talas of Oklahoma City, OK, Stuart Talas of Oklahoma City, OK, Donny and Kristi LaFerr of Duncan, OK, Marcy (LaFerr) and Kurt Wages of Oklahoma City, OK, Chris and Krista LaFerr of Huntington, AR, Holly LaFerr of Anadarko, OK, Cassy LaFerr Pettus of Dardanelle, AR, Rebecca LaFerr of Russellville, AR, Arissa LaFerr Nagle of Dardanelle, AR, Chad Lacer of Anadarko, OK and Steven and Amber Lacer of Elgin, OK. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Lela Jordan; husband Lewis Lacer Jr; brother Albert Holt; sister, Jerry Storie; sons Don LaFerr Sr, Mike Lacer; Granddaughters Deborah LaFerr, Ruby Anne LaFerr and Vanessa Weeks; and Grandson Dusty LaFerr and Daughter-In-Law, Donna LaFerr. She also has 49 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous cousins and nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly and she loved them.In memory of Marcenella Irene Jordan Lacer, the trunk of our tree, we live our life as her legacy.Services under the direction of Smith's Funeral Home in Anadarko, OK.
