Mildred Teresa Bernadette Novotny Howell

Mildred Howell was welcomed into her heavenly home on August 19, 2022. She was born August 18, 1950 to Stanley Francis and Loretta M. Voegeli Novotny. Throughout her life, Mildred wore several different hats. She was a business owner for many years in Fort Cobb, and gave numerous kids their 'first job'. She is remembered fondly by all of her former emoloyees as hard-working, funny, and kind. She also served on the Fort Cobb Housing Board up until her unexpected passing. Mildred had a true servants heart, and her time here on earth was spent helping everyone she came across. She answered to one of the highest callings by opening her home and heart to foster children over the years. Her unconditional love changed the course for many kids lives. Mildred loved her family and friends fiercely, and to know her, was to love her. She left people better than she found them with her sense of humor, honesty, and big heart. She lived a life worth celebrating, and will be missed by so many. Mildred is preceded into death by her parents, her brothers- Cletus Novotny and Kenneth Novotny, her sisters- Bernadette Novotny, Delores Anderson, and Julia Novotny, her son- Jerry Don Howell, and friend- Joyce Williams. She is survived by her daughter Tina Earp and husband Nick. Her children of the home- Carlos Marshall, Arianna Howell, Alex Howell, Elizabeth King, Zach King, and many other foster children she loved as her own. Her grandchildren- Nate Howell, Daniel Earp, Jake Howell, and Kaisha Howell, and great grandson Silas. Her siblings- Stephen and Brenda Novotny, Robert and Dorothy Novotny, Annionette Tate Novotny, Gladys and Ralph Buresh, and Elaine and Herbert Mahl. Her dear friends- Jerry Howell and Beth, along with many other extended family members and friends. Viewing will be held at the Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko on Monday, August 22 from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.A rosary is scheduled for Monday, August 22 at 7:00 P.M. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Anadarko. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 23 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anadarko with Father Vic officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko. Services are under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home.Pallbearers for her service are Norman Winn, Matt Smith, Paul Nicholas Tate, James Tate, Stanley Tate, Andrew Wellar, Micheal Novotny, and Jerry Don Mahl.
