Norman Lee Copeland

Norman "Peewee" Lee Copeland was born October 2, 1959 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Elaine Lee Copeland. Not knowing his father, his uncle, Lloyd Lee became his dad throughout his life. He passed from this life on Thursday, July 22, 2021 in El Reno, OK at the age of 61. He attended school at Anadarko and Cement. He married Trina Copeland and to this union was born two girls. Peewee left Oklahoma around 1986 and moved to Arizona. He worked for a fence company and began his love for the profession. He moved to Las Vegas and worked as a foreman for Gibson Manufacturing. After a few years of hard work and learning more about the profession, he decided to start up his own business and so he did, calling it Leeco Gate Company. Peewee built himself quite the business. He had the privilege of installing electric gates for several well known stars, a few including Wayne Newton, Nicholas Cage and Scott Thompson (Carrot Top). Being the outgoing, friendly man he was, these men also became very good friends and formed a wonderful relationship with them.Peewee worked hard all of his life. He started at the bottom and worked his way to the top. He received a good samaritan award from the Las Vegas Police Department for coming to the aid and helping a distressed women. He was a giver and enjoyed being around and helping people. He was a compassionate, loving and caring man. Peewee will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Left to cherish his memory is his daughters: Jessica Ann Marie Copeland and Melissa Lee Ann Copeland of El Reno, Oklahoma; 1 son, Buddy Jake Kling of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren: Mathew Kling, Nathaniel Kling, Patric Kling, Jacob Kling, Sadie Kling and Izzy Kling; cousins: Mick and wife, Peggy Lee of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Paula Sue McClane and husband, Danny of Bridge Creek, Oklahoma; his very special friends in Oklahoma, Terry Jones and Roberta Wright along with many other cousins and numerous friends.Peewee is preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Copeland, son, Michael KlingFuneral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Gracemont Cemetery in Gracemont, Oklahoma.
