Robert "Bobby" Cecil Heddlesten

Robert (Bobby) Cecil Heddlesten was born November 29th, 1953, to Orvil Paul Heddlesten and Louise Marie Barron. He gained his wings on May 19, 2026. In Bobby’s early years, he lived in the Elgin and Broxton area before moving to Anadarko, Oklahoma. On January 15, 1971, he married the love of his life, Linda Diane Holland. He then graduated from Anadarko High School in 1972. Bobby and Linda made their home in Anadarko, and they had 3 children. Chris, Jenny, and Donnie. Bobby worked for Safeway/Homeland for 21 years. He then worked with Jim Harvey doing carpentry work. He later worked for the Caddo-Kiowa Vocational Center before having to retire due to health issues. Bobby had many hobbies, including playing the drums, and he was amazing at it until his stroke paralyzed his right arm 13 years ago. He played in the band Red Rhythm and played congas at the church he attended. He and Linda also enjoyed spending time with all their kids and grandkids whenever they could. Bobby is survived by his children, Chris Heddlesten and his wife Melissa, Jenny Hood and husband Steve, and Donnie Heddlesten; Grandchildren, Justin Toppah, Hayley Isom, Hannah Hood, Robert Heddlesten and companion Evelyn Kopepassah, KayLee Heddlesten, Lyric and Hadley Heddlesten; great-grandchildren, Eli and Gentry Isom, Nailani Kopepassah-Heddlesten and two more greats on the way; brother’s Jessie Paul Heddlesten and Tommy Heddlesten. Along with many nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by both parents; the love of his life for 54 years, Linda; brothers, Gary Heddlesten and Charlie Heddlesten; sisters, Paula Caroll, Paulette Wooten, and Sandra Creekmore; and infant brother, Jimmy Heddlesten. Bobby & Linda are reunited together again in Heaven. Carrying Bobby to his final resting place will be all of his beloved grandchildren: Justin Toppah, Hayley Isom, Hannah Hood, Robert Heddlesten, KayLee Heddlesten, Eli Isom, and Gentry Isom Visitation for Robert will be held at the Smith Funeral Home on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 9 AM - 7 PM. Services will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Apache, Oklahoma. He will be laid to rest next to his sweetheart following the service at the Greenfield Mennonite Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
