Shana Rayann Unah

The sun rose on October 2, 2002 as Shana Rayann Unah was welcomed into this world by her parents, David and Christi (Flanery) Unah. The sun sat on May 5, 2023 for Shana as she left to go be with the Lord at 8:02 P.M. at the age of 20.Shana was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. She was Kiowa Tia-Pia Princess from 2017-2019. She loved to attend pow-wows with her grandma, Rachel Unah. She loved basketball, fast pitch softball and watching her siblings play also. Shana also loved listening to music, rough housing with her brothers and sister and enjoyed just hanging out with the ones she loved. She had a big heart and was always a good friend and listened to anyone who needed her.Shana is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elona "Nehi" Joyce Taua Loftin and Charles "Buck" Taua; grandparents, Rachel Ann Tsotigh Unah and Raymond Duke Unah.Shana leaves behind her companion, Darryl Young of the home in Moore; her parents: David Unah of Alex and her mother, Christi Unah of Oklahoma City; brothers: Isaiah Taua, Elijah Taua, Messiah Mora and Davidson Duke Unah; sister, Blue Paradise Unah of Alex; her maternal grandmother, Lily Taua of Chickasha; her cousins include Shiloh Unah, Mikaela Unah, Karissa Unah, Hayla Unah all of Hobart; Courtney Unah, Lacie Unah, Alexandria Unah and Gabriel Apollo Taua of Chickasha; uncles: Marcus Unah of Hobart, Gary Unah of Lawton, a special uncle, Darren Unah of Alex whom Shana loved very much; aunts: Traci Rentenia and fiance', William Barber of Oklahoma City, Kaci Taua and fiance' Terri James Etier from Oklahoma City; her special friends, Keith Kailaty of Oklahoma City, Kelly of Moore, Rayn Noland and Ryan Harper of Oklahoma City and her best friends, Makenzi Lay of Alex and Audrianna Fitzslmons of Alex along with other relatives and friends.Visitation will be from Thursday, May 11, 2023 to Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 9:00-8:00 and Sunday, May 14, 2023, 1:00-6:00.Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 15, 2023 at the 1st American Indian Baptist Church in Hobart. Burial will follow in the Elk Creek Cemetery, south of Hobart. Wilfred Brown will officiate.
