Ula Faye Martin

Ula Faye Martin, 87 former Oney resident, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Physicians Hospital in Anadarko, Oklahoma with her family by her side. She was born November 1, 1926 to Tom and Carrie Ethel (Smith) Reeder on the family farm in Lookeba Oklahoma. She attended Lookeba and Snowwhite Schools. She cooked at Pioneer, Pleasantvale, Garber and Gracemont Schools. She met and married the love of her life, James Martin on August 15, 1942 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. From this union was born four sons and two daughters. She was a wonderful cook, she especially enjoyed making Christmas candy, fixing jelly and experimenting with new recipes. She enjoyed working out side in the summer in her flower beds. She enjoyed going anywhere with her children, who took great care of her. She never met a stranger and always enjoyed visitors. Her greatest love was for her family. She especially enjoyed the kids grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by four sons, Al Martin and wife, Susie of Stuart, Florida, Jack Martin and wife, Lisa of Enid, Oklahoma, Donnie Martin and wife, Diane of Anadarko, Oklahoma and Dennis Martin and wife, Sha Ron of Weatherford, Oklahoma. one daughter, Linda Hatfield of Garber, Oklahoma, eighteen grandchildren, Kristi Perrin, Angie Clark, David Hatfield ll, Leslie Carson, Ryan Martin, Amy Kaiser, Michelle Porter, Mike Kaiser, Kayla Kaiser, Jimmy Cole, Brad Martin, Brandon Martin, Blake Martin, Ashtin Martin, Aspen Martin and Alston Martin and sixteen great grand children, sister, Fern Brown, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Allen Martin, one daughter, Judy Cole, three brothers, three sisters, her twin sister, Una Mae Klusmeyer, a granddaughter, Lacy Martin and a son in law, David Hatfield. A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Smith Funeral Chapel Burial will follow in the Murray Cemetery in Binger, Oklahoma under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma
